Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd in New Jersey is seeking a Structural Engineer with 3-6 years of building design experience to join a growing, tight-knit firm focused exclusively on structural design. You’ll take on real responsibility across projects and interact directly with decision-makers.

You’ll work on steel, concrete, masonry, and wood designs from concept through construction administration, with mentorship from senior engineers and a clear path toward Project Engineer and leadership roles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 3-6 years of structural engineering experience focused on building design
  • PE licensure in progress or obtained
  • Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC design standards
  • Experience using RAM, ETABS, SAP2000 or similar platforms

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building projects
  • Design structural systems utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
  • Prepare structural calculations, reports, and supporting engineering documentation
  • Assist with the development of construction drawings and design packages
  • Coordinate directly with architects, owners, contractors, and external consultants
  • Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction-phase support activities
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on design solutions and technical problem-solving
  • Take increasing ownership of project deliverables and client interactions as you develop

What You'll Bring
