Job summary

Bowman is seeking a senior civil/structural engineer to guide design and execution of large-scale projects in the energy sector. You will oversee technical deliverables, maintain standards, and drive innovation across multidisciplinary teams.

You will collaborate with engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning to ensure on-time milestones, quality outcomes, and compliance with industry codes and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural engineering, civil engineering, or related field.
• Five or more (5+) years of experience required.
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in civil engineering principles and practices, particularly in the energy sector.
• Advanced proficiency in emerging civil engineering software and tools.
• Strong understanding of environmental and sustainability considerations.
• Advanced proficiency in geotechnical and structural engineering principles.
• In-depth knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal.
• High level of personal integrity.
• Strong relationship capabilities.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Perform building sizing and selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables.
• Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
• Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements.
• Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
• Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
• Prepares, reviews, and approves foundation, structural steel, building, and earthwork calculations, requisitions, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs.
