Job summary

Bowman is seeking a senior civil engineering leader to oversee the design, planning, and execution of large-scale civil projects in the energy sector. You will drive innovation, ensure standards, and guide cross-functional teams through delivery from conception to construction.

The role emphasizes collaboration, integrity, and a commitment to quality while advancing the company’s infrastructure projects and client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering projects.
  • PE licensure preferred and environmental/sustainability knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Perform building sizing and selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables.
  • Support engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
  • Present engineering and design deliverables to project members and stakeholders.
  • Forecast and track deliverable progress to support reporting and schedule requirements.
  • Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
  • Prepare and review foundation, structural, and earthwork calculations and designs.

This position will hold a senior-level position, providing strategic guidance and technical leadership in civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and execution of large-scale civil engineering projects, driving innovation, and ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform building sizing and selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables.
  • Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
  • Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements.
  • Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
  • Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
  • Prepares, reviews, and approves foundation, structural steel, building, and earthwork calculations, requisitions, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in structural engineering, civil engineering, or related field.
  • Five or more (5+) years of experience required.
  • Professional Engineer licensure preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in civil engineering principles and practices, particularly in the energy sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in emerging civil engineering software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of environmental and sustainability considerations.
  • Advanced proficiency in geotechnical and structural engineering principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal.
  • High level of personal integrity.
  • Strong relationship capabilities.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
