Job summary

H&H in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team on bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects, working under a senior engineer to deliver detailed plans and construction documents.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering, 4–8 years of bridge experience, and proficiency in CAD and MS Office; PE is preferred and strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required; PE preferred.
• Four to eight years of bridge structures experience.
• Fluency in CAD and MS Office; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis for bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects under a senior engineer.
• Prepare detailed plans and construction documents for assigned tasks.
• Develop contract specifications and bid documents; write technical reports.
• Travel within the Southeast Region; occasional field visits and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis tasks for projects including bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects under the oversight of a senior engineer
• Prepare detailed plans and construction documents for the assigned tasks
• Perform engineering calculations pertaining to and in support of the detailed plans and construction documents developed
• Develop contract specifications and contract bid documents, and technical report writing
• Traveling within the Southeast Region
• Occasional field site visits and bridge inspections

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required; PE preferred
• Four to eight years of relevant experience specific to bridge structures (preferred)
• Fluency in CAD and MS Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in cooperative team environments
