H&H is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer to lead design projects in Tampa, FL, coordinating multiple disciplines and overseeing office operations. The role includes staff oversight, project management, and growing the practice under regional leadership.

The successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, Florida PE, 8–12 years of design and plan production experience, and the ability to mentor staff. A competitive benefits package is offered with 401(k) eligibility.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• MSCE preferred.
• FL PE required.
• Eight to twelve years of design and plan production experience and familiarity with Florida DOTD details.

Responsabilités

• Assume leadership for all facets of office operation and facilities; review staffing levels and monitor staff tools and resources.
• Maintain utilization of office personnel; balance project demands with opportunities for professional development.

• Assist the Regional Manager in growing the practice, backlog, client base, and markets.
• Lead the preparation of proposals and presentations with marketing support.
• Maintain outstanding client satisfaction and relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assume leadership role and responsibility for managing design projects and coordination among various project design disciplines
• Assume leadership role and responsibility for all facets of office operation and facilities; review staffing levels and monitor staff tools and resources
• Maintain utilization of office personnel; balance project demands with opportunities for professional development.
• Supervise and mentor junior-level design staff
• Perform project management duties
• Assist the Regional Manager in growing the practice. This may include growing the office backlog, expanding the client base, increasing local service offerings, and/or entering new markets
• With marketing support, lead the preparation of proposals and presentations
• Maintain outstanding client satisfaction and relationships
• Participate actively in local professional affiliations and encourage team members to participate

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering required
• MSCE preferred
• FL PE required
• Eight-twelve years of conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production experience, as well as a familiarity with Florida DOTD details and production
• Prior Management of Group or Department
