In this role, you will support the structural design and analysis of air‑handling systems, chillers, pressure vessels, piping systems, trailers, and portable shelters. Your work will focus on evaluating structural integrity under seismic, wind, snow, and live loads, as well as piping expansion.
Interpret architectural, technical, and detailed shop drawings
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop system designs and support structures
Perform structural calculations using FEA tools and hand methods in accordance with applicable codes
Build and manage models in ANSYS Workbench Suite
Prepare design packages and structural analysis reports for PE review
Recommend design improvements to enhance performance, reduce weight, or lower cost
Develop and maintain structural design standards
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, subcontractors, and customers
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
5+ years' prior experience in a seismic, stress, or structural analysis
5+ years' working experience with ANSYS Workbench and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Software
Strong ability to perform Modal Analysis
Preferred experience with:
ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code
IEEE standards
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Authorization to work in the United States
On-site position at our Batavia, OH facility
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% annually
