GPAC seeks a talented Structural Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Austin. The role performs on-site evaluations of residential and commercial structures and designs, plans, and oversees construction to ensure safety and resilience.

You will develop design ideas with AutoCAD Civil3D, conduct site investigations, and coordinate with architects and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or related field.
• 2+ years of related engineering experience.
• EIT or PE license required.
• Strong knowledge of stormwater design, grading, and utilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop design ideas using AutoCAD 3D.
• Ensure designs meet safety and sustainability standards.
• Conduct site investigations for planning and design.
• Address erosion control and minimize environmental impact.
• Develop site development designs including drainage and shoring.
• Prepare reports, designs, and drawings for clients.
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, contractors to deliver on time and budget.
• Monitor project progress from concept to completion.
• Stay current with engineering developments and apply them.

This individual will perform on site engineering evaluations of residential and commercial structures and be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring that structures are safe and capable of withstanding the elements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop design ideas using AutoCAD 3D, considering the client's requirements and the project's potential environmental impacts.
• Ensure that all designs are robust, efficient, and meet the highest standards of safety and sustainability.
• Conduct site investigations to gather data for planning and design.
• Work on erosion control, ensuring that the environmental impact of our projects is minimized.
• Develop detailed designs for site development, including drainage and shoring.
• Prepare reports, designs, and drawings, making complex engineering concepts and procedures understandable for clients and non-engineering professionals.
• Liaise with other professionals, including architects, surveyors, and contractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Monitor the progress of projects from concept to completion, ensuring that structures are built according to the design and specification.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest engineering developments and innovations, applying this knowledge to your work.

Requirements
