gpac is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our engineering team in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on on-site evaluations, design, planning, and overseeing construction projects to ensure safety and resilience of structures.

Key tasks include site investigations, drainage and shoring design, and collaboration with architects, surveyors, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and an EIT/PE license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in related engineering field.
• EIT or PE license required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop design ideas using AutoCAD 3D, considering client requirements and environmental impacts.
• Ensure designs are robust, efficient, and meet safety and sustainability standards.
• Conduct site investigations to gather data for planning and design.
• Work on erosion control to minimize environmental impact.
• Develop detailed site development designs, including drainage and shoring.
• Prepare reports, designs, and drawings for clients and non-engineering professionals.
• Liaise with architects, surveyors, and contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Monitor project progress from concept to completion, ensuring conformity to design and specifications.
• Stay up-to-date with engineering developments and apply them to practice.

• Work on erosion control, ensuring that the environmental impact of our projects is minimized.
• Develop detailed designs for site development, including drainage and shoring.
• Prepare reports, designs, and drawings, making complex engineering concepts and procedures understandable for clients and non-engineering professionals.
• Liaise with other professionals, including architects, surveyors, and contractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineer (BSCE) or related field
• 2+ Years of experience in related engineering field.
• EIT or PE required
• Strong understanding of stormwater design, grading, and utility layouts.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
