Kimley-Horn’s Saint Paul, Minnesota office is seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 1.5+ years of experience to join the Building Structures team. This role focuses on developing as a project manager, producing structural drawings, and participating in client and design team meetings.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit; able to produce drawings with minimal supervision.
• Experience with structural analysis/design software (RISA, RAM, ETABS, etc.).
• Strong time management to meet client deadlines.
• Detail-oriented team player.
• Ability to multi-task across projects.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management and leadership of small projects.
• Develop full sets of structural drawings and specifications.
• Perform design calculations, plan production, and prepare submittals with QC.
• Lead and support construction-phase efforts on building projects.
• Participate in client, contractor, and design team meetings.
• Mentor junior engineers.
