Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural EIT to contribute to building engineering projects across the United States. You will conduct analyses, develop design options, and assist in preparing cost estimates and specifications for structural systems, working on projects ranging from data centers to commercial facilities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering and an Engineer in Training certificate, with experience in AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate is required.
• Proficiency with structural engineering software and tools listed (AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE) is expected.
• Previous structural design experience is a plus and active participation in employee-owned culture is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications for structural engineering projects.
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
• Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.
• Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
