Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Woodstock, GA office seeks a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 1.5+ years of experience to join the Structures team. This is not a remote position.

You will assist in managing projects, develop full structural drawings, perform design calculations, and prepare submittal packages while upholding quality controls. You’ll engage with clients and designers, supporting construction and pursuing new opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp with ability to draw and detail when needed.
• Experience with structural analysis/design software such as STAAD, RAM, ETABS, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT.
• Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines.
• Detail-oriented team player with ability to contribute positively.
• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication, leadership and technical skills, with a growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management and leading of projects.
• Develop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications.
• Perform structural design calculations and plan production activities.
• Prepare project submittal packages and maintain Quality Control.
• Lead and support construction phase efforts on building projects.
• Support meetings with clients, contractors, and design team.
• Contribute to identifying project opportunities through networking.
