Job summary

Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer in Training (EIT) for its Kansas City office. The role offers exposure to a broad range of project types and materials, with opportunities in new building design and investigations/retrofits.

Responsibilities include engineering calculations, drawings, site visits, and collaboration with owners, architects, and contractors. A dynamic, collaborative culture supports learning and growth across projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ABET-accredited engineering curriculum (Architectural, Civil, Environmental, Construction, Structural, or related)
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in future
• Ability to work in the Kansas City area; relocation reimbursement may be provided

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and use of computer design and CAD/BIM software
• Prepares details and calculations for project components and systems
• Lears about products and construction procedures
• Prepares and writes reports
• Provides field observation during construction
• Studies and applies building code and/or jurisdictional requirements
• Reviews shop drawings and submittals
• Checks own work
• Coordinates work with other disciplines
• Acts proactively and proposes potential solutions to problems
• Works overtime, when necessary
• Other duties as assigned
