Job summary

Martin/Martin, Inc. in Atlanta seeks a Structural Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our team and work on a broad range of projects.

You will gain experience in new building design and existing building investigations, interacting with owners, architects, and contractors throughout the project life cycle. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in engineering, FE exam progress, and an eagerness to learn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum (Architectural, Civil, Environmental, Construction, Structural, or related)
• FE Examination is required or in progress
• Relocation support may be provided for Atlanta-area role
• Ability to work in the Atlanta, GA area and be eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and use of computer design and CAD/BIM software
• Prepares details and calculations for project components and systems
• Learns about products and construction procedures
• Prepares and writes reports
• Provides field observation during construction
• Studies and applies building code and jurisdictional requirements
• Reviews shop drawings and product submittals
• Checks own work
• Coordinates work with other disciplines
• Acts proactively and proposes potential solutions to problems
• Works overtime when necessary
• Other duties as assigned
