Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. (ULA) is seeking a Structural Dynamics professional to join our Denver-area team. You will perform dynamic analyses for the Vulcan launch system, defining loads and validating models with engineers across disciplines to meet mission requirements.

You will develop software tools and models in MATLAB/Python, pursue multi-DOF analyses, and contribute to design optimization in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. ITAR and US residency constraints apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience or coursework in structural dynamics/vibrations and finite element analysis.
• Experience or coursework developing software for mathematical and engineering applications.
• Experience or coursework in MATLAB and Python.
• Experience or coursework in Linear Algebra and FEA.

Responsibilities

• Define design loads, accelerations, and displacements to establish design requirements with spacecraft teams and internal analysts.
• Perform multi-degree-of-freedom dynamic analysis using FE methods, transient, frequency, and random response analysis.
• Develop and document processes, methods, and software tools for assignments.
• Resolve programmatic and technical problems affecting cost, schedule, and performance.
• Collaborate with the Structural Dynamics team and other engineering disciplines; present results to customers.
• Learn analysis techniques and work with an experienced team.
