Trane Technologies in the United States is seeking a Structural Dynamics Engineer to design and validate acoustics, mechanics and vibration solutions for commercial HVAC products. You will lead simulations, testing and cross-functional collaboration with global engineering teams to deliver reliable, durable systems.

The role emphasizes advancement of the Acoustics & Mechanics Engineering function, plan and supervise FE/structural models, and mentor engineers while traveling up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years in structural dynamics-related work.
• Formal coursework in mechanics of materials, vibration, and dynamics.
• Experience with simulation tools and test correlations.
• Ability to lead multiple high-priority projects and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advance the Acoustics & Mechanics Engineering function.
• Plan, conduct, and supervise FE/structural models and simulations.
• Plan and supervise structural and dynamic testing (modal, vibration, fatigue).
• Correlate simulations with test data to improve accuracy.
• Develop standard work and design guidelines for structural work.
• Collaborate with product engineers to design durable HVAC products.
• Mentor engineering resources globally; occasional travel up to 10%.
• Support annual corporate objectives for individuals and teams.
