Job summary

Trane is seeking a Senior Structural Dynamics Engineer in the United States (La Crosse, WI) to design equipment and systems for commercial HVAC products. You will lead engineering teams, develop concepts for new and improved products, and solve complex technical problems to enable sustainable innovations.

You will focus on structural integrity, vibration simulation and testing, and work with product engineers and global support centers. Travel is expected occasionally as part of project work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in applied mechanics or mechanical engineering is required.
• 5+ years of acoustics or NVH experience.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
• Experience with simulation and testing.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advance the Acoustics & Mechanics Engineering function.
• Deliver and lead technical designs meeting project requirements.
• Plan and supervise structural/dynamic simulation models.
• Plan, conduct and supervise structural tests (modal, vibration, fatigue).
• Correlate simulation with test data to improve accuracy.
• Mentor engineering resources globally.
