Job summary

Ramboll in the Americas seeks a Structural Designer to join the Structural Department in Winston-Salem, NC, working on municipal, industrial, institutional, and commercial projects. You will contribute to building design solutions in a global, collaborative environment.

You will prepare structural drawings in Revit, verify standards, coordinate CAD/BIM tasks, visit sites, and support safety and quality initiatives while growing your expertise within Ramboll's multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors Degree related to Structural Technology.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Willingness to grow and learn new market sectors and areas where you lack experience.
• Confident communicator with colleagues and clients, ability to interact directly with clients, work independently with direction and support from senior staff.
• Strong report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural engineering and construction drawings for all project phases using Autodesk Revit.
• Adhere to Ramboll quality management standards and drafting conventions.
• Act as CAD/BIM Coordinator on selected projects.
• Review vendor drawings/submittals for contract compliance.
• Visit job sites to gain field experience and develop practical engineering skills.
• Contribute to creating a safety culture in the office and on site.
• Analyze surveying data and drawings to plan projects of routine to average complexity.
