Job summary

Ramboll in North America is seeking a Structural Designer to join our Structural Department. You will contribute to municipal, industrial, institutional, and commercial projects, emphasizing sustainability and collaboration across Ramboll’s global teams.

You will prepare structural drawings in Revit under supervision, adhere to Ramboll drafting standards, participate in CAD/BIM certification, visit job sites, and help develop safe, accurate design deliverables for review by engineers.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors Degree related to Structural Technology.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Willingness to grow and learn new market sectors.
• Confident communicator with colleagues and clients; able to interact with clients and work with senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural engineering and construction drawings using Autodesk Revit for all project phases.
• Adhere to Ramboll drafting standards and client/industry requirements.
• Participate in the Ramboll CAD/BIM Coordinator Certification program.
• Act as CAD/BIM Coordinator on selected projects.
• Review vendor drawings/submittals for contract document compliance.
• Visit job sites to gain field experience and develop practical engineering skills.
• Contribute to a safety culture in the office and field.
• Analyze information to plan projects of routine to average complexity and create design deliverables for review by engineers.
• Perform calculations and develop design elements under supervision.
