Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Structural Designer to join our Americas Structural Department in Arlington, VA. You will work with a highly skilled team on municipal, industrial, institutional, and commercial projects, applying sustainability concepts and BIM workflows.

The role focuses on producing structural drawings in Revit under supervision, coordinating CAD/BIM, reviewing vendor submittals, and contributing to site visits and safety culture, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors Degree related to Structural Technology.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Willingness to grow and learn new market sectors and areas where you lack experience.
• Confident communicator with colleagues and clients, ability to interact directly with clients, work independently with direction and support from senior staff, actively participate in team development and individual professional growth, and strong report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural drawings using Revit for all project phases.
• Adhere to Ramboll drafting standards and quality policies.
• Act as CAD/ BIM Coordinator on selected projects.
• Review vendor drawings/submittals to confirm compliance with Contract Documents.
• Visit job sites to gain field experience and develop practical engineering skills.
• Actively participate in creating a safety culture in the office and in the field.
• Analyze survey data and drawings to plan projects of routine to average complexity.
