Job summary

Baisch Engineering, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Structural Designer to join our team. You will create steel and concrete drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks on industrial projects, from new facilities to upgrades.

You will develop plans that satisfy building codes and OSHA requirements, implement BIM protocols, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, mentor designers, and travel for field measurements.

Qualifications

• Experience using Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks to produce steel and concrete drawings.
• Ability to implement BIM Modeling protocols and coordinate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Create steel and concrete construction drawing sets on industrial projects.
• Develop plans and details to support structural and code requirements.
• Implement BIM Modeling protocols and ensure model coordination.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to keep projects on schedule and budget.
• Mentor and lead other designers and drafters as needed.
• Travel to project sites for field measurements and inspections.

• Create steel and concrete construction drawing sets utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks as part of our team on a wide range of industrial projects ranging from brand-new state of the art facilities to small system upgrades and everything in between.

• Develop plans and details to support the architectural concerns, building code, and OSHA requirements for building structures.

• Implement BIM Modeling protocols that keep us on the leading edge of technology.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to generate seamlessly coordinated projects that wow our clients with our ability to stay on schedule and budget.

• Mentor and provide progressively greater leadership to other designers and drafters.

• Travel to project sites within the pulp and paper industry and other industries to perform field work & take field measurements.
