Job summary

Baisch Engineering Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to support design engineers in analysis and drawing production for industrial facilities. You will work with Tedds, VisualAnalysis, and BIM tools to contribute to project deliverables from concept through coordination.

You'll learn BIM protocols, engage with an interdisciplinary team, and gain exposure to building code and OSHA considerations for heavy industrial settings.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Civil/Structural Engineering degree.
• Interest in structural analysis and design software.
• Willingness to learn BIM protocols.
• Ability to work on industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside design engineers to analyze systems using Tedds or VisualAnalysis.
• Assist in developing construction drawing sets using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Learn and implement BIM protocols that keep us on the leading edge of technology.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for coordinated projects.
• Develop an understanding of architectural concerns, building codes, and OSHA requirements for heavy industrial projects.

• Work alongside design engineers to analyze systems using discipline-specific software packages such as Tedds or VisualAnalysis for structural analysis and design
• Assist in the development of construction drawing sets utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks as part of our team on awide rangeof industrial projects from brand-new, state-of-the-art facilities to small system upgrades and everything in between
• Desire to learn and implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) protocols that keep us on the leading edge of technology
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to generate seamlessly coordinated projects that make our clients’ projects a huge success
• Develop an understanding of architectural concerns, building codes, and OSHA requirements for building structures supporting large heavy industrial and pulp and paper industries
