Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our design team supporting power generation projects. You will perform design tasks, develop plans, and review structural calculations while coordinating with cross-discipline partners to meet EPC, RFP, and contract requirements.

The role can be based in several US offices and, for Chattanooga, TN, will start remotely and transition to hybrid/in-office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited program in Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering.
• 5+ years of structural engineering and design experience.
• Experience in power/industrial markets preferred.
• Proficiency with engineering software and basic IT tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs for assigned structures, including analysis and drawings for power projects.
• Apply standards when preparing calculations and specifications.
• meet EPC, RFP, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners to address structural issues.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and staffing needs.
