Job summary

Krech Ojard & Associates, Inc. (KOA) is seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training to advance the design, analysis, and documentation of complex structural systems in a dynamic Minneapolis team.

Responsibilities include analyzing and designing structures, reading plans, developing calculations, directing technicians, site observations, and presenting findings to clients, with travel up to 25% and close collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• FE certification required (or actively pursuing PE licensure).
• 2+ years of experience in Structural engineering and design.
• Proficiency with discipline-specific design tools and standards (AutoCAD, Revit, Robot, RISA, Navisworks).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design structural systems and components.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Develop and review plans, details, calculations, and specifications.
• Direct technicians in the preparation of drawings, plans and construction documentation.
• Conduct site observations and inspection of construction projects.
• Prepare reports and oral presentations for internal and client use.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams in varying roles.
