The role participates as a team member in the technical development of schematic, design development, construction documents, specifications and construction administration. Projects span schools, healthcare, elder living, retail and entertainment complexes with a commitment to sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil (Structural) Engineering is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• FE/EIT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Structural design of foundations, floors, roofs, and lateral resistance systems for retail and commercial buildings.
• Prepare calculations and coordinated construction documents that are cost effective, efficient and constructible.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, other engineering disciplines, vendors and authorities throughout the design phases.
• Meet client schedules and internal design and construction administration time budgets.
• Assist with shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and construction administration during the project.
• Travel nationally for pre-design site visits, design meetings, and site observations.
