Job summary
Thorsonbaker is seeking a Civil Engineer to participate in the technical development of design and construction documentation for institutional and commercial buildings. Responsibilities include structural design and coordinating with various stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering, possess excellent communication skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Revit.
This role may require national travel and the ability to work beyond 40 hours when necessary.
Qualifications
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Efficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit.
Responsibilities
- Structural design of foundations, floors, roof, and lateral resistance system.
- Prepare calculations and well-coordinated construction documents.
- Communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and coordinate during construction.
- Travel nationally for site visits and prepare detailed reports.
