Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is seeking a Design Engineer - Structural to join our growing team. The role focuses on structural aspects of energy infrastructure and design-build delivery for large-scale projects across North America, collaborating with civil, structural, geotechnical, and construction professionals.

You will support design production, develop construction drawings and specifications, and provide engineering support during construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT or FE certification with interest in PE licensure.
• 0–3 years design experience in structural engineering (concrete/steel).
• Familiar with RISA, SPColumn, AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
• Substation and/or transmission structure design experience.
• Familiar with AutoCAD Advanced Steel Extension, LPILE, GROUP, FAD, SHAFT, APILE.

Responsibilities

• Execute structural engineering tasks for energy infrastructure projects.
• Perform analyses and develop construction drawings and specs.
• Provide engineering support during construction.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Occasional site visits across North America.
• Engage with sector-focused professional organizations and events.
• Work under supervision of a Project Engineer or Engineering Manager.
