STV, Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a Design Engineer - Structural/Bridge with 5+ years of experience to design and rehabilitate bridges and transportation structures in the NYC region, including seismic retrofit designs.

This role includes design and analysis, QA, and mentoring on Design-Build projects. The position involves producing drawings and specifications, conducting LRFR/LFD load ratings, and reviewing construction submittals, with collaboration across teams in a dynamic transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; master's preferred; PE required in NY.
• Minimum 5+ years of bridge design experience.
• Experience with NY agencies (MTA, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDCC, Port Authority) and related projects.

Responsibilities

• Design & analysis of new and existing bridges, including rehabilitation and seismic retrofit design, and transportation facilities.
• Participating on Design Build Projects and Pursuits.
• Perform Quality Assurance on Transportation Projects.
• Contract Document production, including drawings and specifications.

STV currently has openings for Structural Design Engineer in our Transportation group based in our Empire State Building office in New York, NY.

Field Locations in NYC Metro Area

We are seeking aDesign Engineer - Structural/Bridge who is a proficient engineer in the field, who uses professional concepts in developing resolution to critical site condition issues. This individual will be responsible to perform design of new bridge components and/or their rehabilitations, quality assurance, mentor entry level staff. The work will include highway bridges, railroad bridges, and transportation facilities structures in New York.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Design & analysis of new and existing bridges, including rehabilitation and seismic retrofit design, and transportation facilities.
• Participating on Design Build Projects and Pursuits
• Perform Quality Assurance on Transportation Projects
• Contract Document production, including drawings and specifications.
• Bridge load ratings using LRFR and LFD
• Review of construction phase submittals

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering,
• Master's degree is preferred
• PE is required NY is preferred
• A minimum of 5 plus years of experience
• Knowledge of New York agencies and projects:

Compensation Range

$149,671.54 - $171,053.19
