Job summary

Kent Companies seeks a Structural Concrete Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, and bid proposals for commercial projects. You will review contracts, drawings and specifications to define scope, pricing, and required contingencies in line with our bid strategy and profit goals.

Responsibilities include subcontractor pricing, value engineering input, and coordination with preconstruction, vendors and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, or 5 years of concrete estimating experience.
• Experience managing concrete preconstruction processes and relationships with subs.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate project takeoffs and estimates.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing and evaluate prequalification requirements.
• Develop proposals with bid strategy and exclusions.
• Follow up with customers to discuss pricing and scope.
• Assist handoff to project management and field teams.
