Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Structural / Civil Engineer, Level II, to support the Department of Energy at the Y‑12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing structural designs, drawings, and specifications for various materials and construction types.
• Working as part of an integrated project team, providing design verifications, and supporting field activities.
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, including ASME NQA-1, and participating in building evaluations, seismic analyses, and oversight of external engineering firms.
• Possibly performing structural modeling with STAAD Pro and GT STRUDL.

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Engineering or relevant field from an ABET-accredited university.
• 5-9 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team and production environment.
• Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.

This position is on-site, full-time, and requires U.S. citizenship, pre-employment drug screening, medical examinations, and clearance from the Department of Energy.
