Job summary

Horner & Shifrin seeks a full-time Building Project Engineer in our Structural Business Unit in St. Louis. Must have 5+ years of experience and PE licensure in MO/IL/AR.

You will perform structural calculations, prepare drawings, and assist in project management across disciplines. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required; a Master’s is preferred. Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in IL, MO, or AR.
• Licensed Structural Engineer in IL preferred.
• Experience with structural design and detailing of water/wastewater structures or similar.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of Structural Design Software.
• Ability to traverse structural sites, heights and rough terrain.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow Building Practice standards and procedures per Project Manager.
• Perform and check structural engineering calculations to standards.
• Prepare and check structural drawings to meet requirements.
• Develop and check cost estimates.
• Participate in preparation of reports and studies.
• Assist in project management and cross-discipline coordination.
