Job summary

Tindall Corporation in Petersburg, VA, seeks a Structural BIM Designer to create, manage, and coordinate 3D models from contract drawings and value-engineered drawings. This role sits at the Petersburg plant and collaborates with engineers, architects, and detailers.

You will read drawings, prepare BOMs and material orders, issue erection drawings, and direct 3D designers. A bachelor’s or associate degree is preferred and 3–5 years of related experience, with certification in Revit or SolidWorks

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred in Drafting/Engineering Technology/Construction.
• 3 to 5 years of related BIM/Drafting experience.
• Certification in Autodesk Revit or SolidWorks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read contract drawings and specifications.
• Prepare BOMs and issue material orders to support project schedule.
• Issue erection drawings and details for approval by contractor/owner.
• Coordinate with 3D Designers on shop cards and detailing progress.
• Confer with project engineers and production to resolve issues and changes.
• Develop cover sheets, foundation, framing plans, and elevation details using 3D modeling tools.
