Job summary

Zohorecruit in Birmingham, AL is seeking a skilled Structural Auto Body Technician. You will repair and restore vehicles with structural damage, rebuild frames, align suspensions and panels, and use MIG/TIG welding and measurement systems.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in structural auto body work, proficiency with frame alignment, and familiarity with Car-O-Liner/Chief equipment. ASE/I-CAR certifications are preferred; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of auto body repair experience with emphasis on structural repairs.
• Knowledge of welding techniques and use of specialized tools and equipment.
• Experience in frame and suspension alignment.
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders and technical manuals.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented.
• ASE Structural Technician or I-CAR Gold Class certification preferred.
• Experience with Car-O-Liner, Chief, Genesis or Celette highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess structural damage on vehicles to determine repair scope.
• Disassemble damaged vehicles to assess extent and hidden damage.
• Repair and rebuild vehicle frames to factory specs.
• Align frames and suspension systems for proper handling.
• Replace damaged panels with new or used parts per customer needs.
• Apply MIG, TIG and resistance welding techniques as required.
• Use computerized measuring systems to ensure alignment.
• Communicate repair needs and timelines with team and customers.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety guidelines.
• Stay updated on automotive repair technology and methods.
