Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Structural Assistant Staff Associate to join our Mid-Atlantic Building Science + Infrastructure team in Mount Laurel, NJ. You will support structural engineering and forensic projects, develop field investigation and reporting skills, and work with experienced engineers across diverse facilities.

You will participate in testing, documentation, and coordination with project teams, while learning codes, materials, and repair strategies under supervision.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related structural field.
• 0-2 years of related experience expected; EIT certification is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural consulting, assessment, testing, and construction administration services.
• Collaborate with staff on projects and attend project meetings as requested.
• Interface with contractors and site personnel daily and communicate site conditions to supervisors.
• Assist with field investigations, structural assessments, testing programs, sample extraction, and condition evaluations.
• Assist with design and repair projects and with RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and budget tracking.
