Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Structural Staff Professional to join our Mid-Atlantic Building Science + Infrastructure team in Chantilly, VA. This role offers hands-on field investigations, testing, reporting, and project support while collaborating with senior staff to deliver high-quality consulting solutions.

You will gain experience in anchor bolt testing, GPR, sampling, reporting, and construction administration, with supervision and potential progression to supervising junior staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in building science & infrastructure consulting or equivalent.
• Experience with non-destructive testing preferred.
• Professional certifications (NRCA/RCI, AWCI, ICC, IIBEC, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing projects under supervision (anchor bolt testing, GPR, coring, sounding, etc.).
• Assist with structural assessments and construction administration services as directed.
• Support project budgets, change orders, invoicing, and client communications.
• Review drawings and RFIs, and contribute to reporting and documentation.
• Interact with clients and team members to resolve technical and administrative issues.
