Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Structural Assembler in Peabody, MA to build mechanical components to strict specifications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics, mechanics, or related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures, including inspecting and testing assembled components.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds as required by the job.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with ERP or production tracking systems is a plus.

  • Collaborate with the engineering and quality control teams to identify and resolve assembly issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, including the care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, including any adjustments or modifications to parts or assemblies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to streamline assembly processes and enhance productivity.

As a Structural Assembler at TMC Vibration Control, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and subassemblies to precise specifications.
