Job summary

This 100% onsite role focuses on developing and analyzing composite components and test tooling, collaborating with Design, Manufacturing and Test to ensure successful hardware delivery.

The position requires a BS in STEM with 2+ years' experience and demonstrated experience with FEA and aerospace structural analysis for metals, sandwich panels and composites.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM with minimum 2 years of experience
• Experience with finite element modeling
• Knowledge of aerospace structural analysis for metals, sandwich panels, composites, plastics and bonded joints

Responsibilities

• Assess structural integrity of metallic and composite structures using traditional closed form solutions, as well as finite element analysis (FEA)
• Interact with design and development teams to create and verify design solutions that meet requirements
• Generate Finite Element Models and perform FEA for normal modes, static, dynamic, thermo-elastic and hygroscopic distortion
• Support development of flight hardware from preliminary through detailed design, drawing release, manufacturing, integration, verification testing, and transportation
• Reduce material characterization test data into analysis input properties and material capability properties
• Prepare and present structural assessment results for internal reviews and customer design reviews
• Assist in assessment and disposition of discrepant hardware and hardware anomalies
