Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking Structural Engineers Level 2 or 3 to join the Marine Systems team. You will build finite element models and run a range of analyses using leading tools. On-site work is required and a Secret clearance is typically needed.

The role emphasizes strong communication with peers and management, and the ability to handle multiple software solutions such as NX, Nastran, Abaqus and Matlab. Relocation may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in a STEM field with relevant structural analysis experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US government Secret clearance.
• US citizenship and on-site work requirement (4 days/week).
• Experience with finite element methods and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Develop component and system level finite element models using Hypermesh.
• Post-process analysis results with Hyperview, Matlab and Excel.
• Perform linear and nonlinear FE analyses (static, transient, vibration, modal, FRF).
