Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Stroke Unit (CMU). The role leads the nursing team to deliver patient-centered care for stroke and dialysis patients, aligned with Freeman’s Five Star Promise of compassion, communication, teamwork, ownership and professionalism.

The position requires Missouri RN licensure (or a compact state license), ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and nonviolent crisis training within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri RN license or compact state RN license.
• ACLS within 120 days.
• BLS for healthcare providers within 60 days.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to provide appropriate care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with director, charge nurses, physicians and staff to uphold department mission and policies.
• Support stroke and dialysis patients on the CMU stroke floor.
