Job summary

Freeman Health System in Missouri seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Medical Unit's multidisciplinary team on the full-time day shift. You will provide comprehensive patient assessment, plan interventions, and coordinate care for stroke and dialysis patients in a high-volume unit.

Candidates must hold an RN license (Missouri or compact state) and obtain ACLS/BLS, with additional Stroke certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri RN license or compact-state RN license.
• If no hospital experience or >5 years since last hospital work, pass PCO within 30 days.
• ACLS preferred; ACLS within 120 days.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.
• ASLS within 180 days.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) within 365 days.
• RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
• Stroke CEU hours – 8 per year.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systematic assessment of physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of patients and families.
• Plan and implement appropriate interventions; evaluate effectiveness and adjust plan as indicated.
• Provide safe and effective care in conjunction with the medical plan of care.
