Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a dedicated RN/LPN to join the Cardiac Medical Unit (CMU). This full-time night-shift position is 36 hours per week, supporting stroke and dialysis patients with multidisciplinary teams.

You will assess, plan, and implement nursing care under RN direction, and contribute to safe, quality patient outcomes. The role requires Missouri or compact-state licensure, IV certification, and multiple time-bound certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and stroke care credentials.

Qualifications

• IV Certification required.
• Current Missouri Practical Nurse License or Compact State License.
• If no hospital RN/LPN experience or >5 years since last hospital role, must pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days.
• ACLS certification required within 120 days.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 90 days.
• ASLS - Advanced Stroke Life Support within 180 days.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 120 days.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) within 120 days.
• RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
• Stroke CEU Hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date.

Responsibilities
