Northwestern Memorial Healthcare in Illinois is hiring a Rehab Nurse Tech for the Stroke Unit on a full-time, 12-hour day schedule. The role supports adult and pediatric patients with daily living activities, mobility, skin care, and complex rehab needs under RN supervision.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will assist with vital signs, transfers, meal support, 1:1 feeding when needed, and participate in unit quality projects while precepting new staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Current CNA certification or RN program enrollment with two clinical rotations completed.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people and provide highest level of customer service.
• Understanding and support of Northwestern Medicine’s Mission and Values.
• Flexibility and ability to manage work in a changing environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collect and document vital signs and report abnormal values to the RN.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation using safe patient handling techniques.
• Assist with meals, menus, and nutrition documentation.
• Support patients with dysphagia and 1:1 feeding as ordered.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment on the unit.
• Precept new RNT employees and participate in unit quality projects.
