Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis seeks a Stroke Program Coordinator to provide professional, clinical nursing leadership for comprehensive stroke care. You will develop and improve protocols, educate staff and patients, and oversee data reporting to identify improvement opportunities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing (Master’s preferred), 5–7 years of general nursing experience, and several stroke-specific certifications; strong teaching and public speaking skills are

Qualifications

Progressive knowledge in Stroke care methods including data and outcomes management gained through independent clinical decision making skills.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to coordinate and organize work.
Teaching skills and ability to develop/mentor others.

Responsibilities

Assessment: Provides clinical expertise to evaluate stroke patients, stroke protocol/processes, and data collection systems to support effective patient care delivery.
Problem/Diagnosis: Coordinates with the healthcare staff to identify and diagnose patient care problems, implement approaches, and evaluate interventions.
Coordinates the development and implementation of an educational program designed to convey specialized knowledge to healthcare staff, patients, families, and the community.
Coordinates Stroke Center Program goals using a multidisciplinary approach.
Actively identifies, plans, and participates in research related to stroke patients.
