Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; three years related experience.
• RN license in Alabama required or eligible.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required by AHA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate an evidence-based comprehensive stroke program through assessment, planning, and evaluation.
• Monitor Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center Certification requirements and ensure documentation compliance.
• Educate, coordinate, implement, and present community outreach and Stroke prevention programs for staff and providers.
• Plan, evaluate and grant continuing education credits for educational offerings; develop standards for stroke patient care with the Stroke team.
• Promote continuity of care from onset of stroke through rehabilitation.
