Job summary

Northwest Medical Center Tucson seeks a Stroke Program Coordinator RN to oversee the stroke program, ensuring delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, implement education initiatives, monitor compliance, and lead quality improvement efforts.

The role requires 2–4 years of neurology/stroke/critical care experience and 1–2 years of program coordination.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years clinical experience in neurology, stroke care, or critical care.
• 1-2 years coordinating programs or quality improvement preferred.
• RN with current state licensure and BCLS/A CL S credentials as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the overall operation and development of the stroke program, ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Serves as a liaison between stroke/neuro physicians, unit staff, and other team members to ensure effective communication in patient care.
• Monitors the quality of stroke care delivery and uses data to drive improvements.
• Educates staff, patients, families, and community members on stroke prevention, recognition, treatment, and recovery.
• Oversees data collection, analysis, and reporting for stroke program compliance and registry requirements.
• Implements and monitors competency-based training for clinical staff in stroke care protocols.
• Reviews and updates stroke program policies to reflect best practices and regulatory standards.
• Provides oversight for regulatory compliance and timely follow-up on program issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains reliable attendance.
• Complies with policies and standards.
