Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred.
• Minimum of one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing. One to three years supervisory experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire) as required by specialty.
• Current Florida nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to patients and families; leads multi-disciplinary team.
• Coordinates and directs nursing staff to achieve safe, optimal health care outcomes; supports facility vision and goals.
• Maintains currency in stroke knowledge, completes NIHSS training annually, and assists with telemedicine consults and thrombolytic therapy processes as indicated.
