UF Health in Jacksonville seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide professional care for stroke patients in the emergency department and inpatient neurology continuum. The role focuses on stroke alert responses, thrombolytic administration, and collaboration with neurology teams for interventional procedures.

The RN will review outcomes data, identify care trends, and communicate improvement recommendations.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the State of Florida.
• BSN within three years of hire is required for new hires after June 14, 2017.
• BSN is preferred for the role but not mandatory upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Respond to emergency department and inpatient stroke alerts.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary neurology teams for stroke care and thrombolytic administration.
• Evaluate candidates for interventional radiology procedures.
• Compile and review stroke patient outcome data and identify trends.
• Communicate recommendations to nursing units to improve documentation and care.
• Identify educational gaps for patients with ischemic and/or hemorrhagic stroke prior to discharge.
• Conduct proactive rounds to reinforce stroke education and safe transitions of care.
