Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville seeks a Registered Nurse for the Neuro ICU to deliver specialized care to critically ill neurological and neurosurgical patients. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, coordinating with physicians, APPs, and the care team to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes.

You will monitor patients closely, administer treatments, educate families, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in a renowned academic health system.

Qualifications

• ADN from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN within three years of hire; higher education encouraged.
• Current Florida RN license or eligibility.
• BLS certification; ACLS within six months of hire.
• Preferred CCRN/SCRN/CNRN or related neuroscience certifications.
• Less than one year of related nursing experience required; ICU/Neuro ICU experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to neuro ICU patients.
• Perform comprehensive neuro assessments and continuous monitoring.
• Administer medications and therapies per orders and policies.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and families.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned and participate in quality initiatives.
