Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Stroke Coordinator to support planning, implementation, coordination, and ongoing evaluation of the hospital's Stroke Program to ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care.

The role partners with physicians, nurses, EMS, radiology, laboratory, rehabilitation, and case management to promote timely recognition, treatment, and recovery, while advancing national stroke certification standards and outcomes across the continuum of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of stroke patient care in acute care
• Experience coordinating across physicians, nurses, EMS, radiology, and case management
• Strong communication and data interpretation skills
• Familiarity with performance-improvement processes

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the Stroke Program
• Support readiness for stroke certification and regulatory surveys
• Coordinate staff education and review stroke cases for quality improvement
• Monitor adherence to stroke protocols and performance measures; provide feedback to teams
