Qualifications

• Active Washington State APRN license (or eligibility) is required.
• Board Certified as FNP, Adult/Gerontology NP, or Acute Care NP certification is needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, and TIA.
• Participate in stroke alerts and rapid response assessments.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including CT/MRI imaging and laboratory studies.
• Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, and rehabilitation teams.
• Assist in post-stroke care planning and secondary prevention strategies.
• Provide patient and family education on stroke risk factors and recovery plans.
