Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient stroke care in collaboration with neurologists.
  • Evaluate and manage acute stroke patients.

  • Coordinate care transitions and discharge planning.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation.
  • Educate patients and families on risk factors and recovery.
  • Document care in EPIC EMR and coordinate with teams.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and stroke program development.

Stroke Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) | Full-Time

Location: Renton, Washington

A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Renton, Washington area is actively seeking a full-time Stroke Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its comprehensive stroke and neuroscience program. This is a collaborative, patient-centered environment with strong neurology, neurosurgery, and critical care support.

The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.

Position Overview
  • Provide inpatient stroke care in collaboration with neurologists and neurosurgery teams
  • Evaluate and manage acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients
  • Participate in stroke alerts and rapid response evaluations
  • Manage post-thrombolysis and post-thrombectomy patients
  • Coordinate care transitions, discharge planning, and secondary stroke prevention
  • Provide patient and family education regarding risk factor modification and recovery
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and care coordination
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stroke program development
